PRS Custom VS PRS SingleCut VS ErnieBall Musicman VS Gibson Les Paul Standard

Pedal-itis: get a Silouette or a Silouette Special. They cost much cheaper than PRSs & Gibson & their quality is up there. Unless you want a beautiful guitar with 10 top or whatever, then i LPPL.

Even my Silo 20ths cost the most 2/3rds of a PRS and you can still get a better top than a Gibson, and an equal top to a PRS.

But then again, we're talking different guitars here. LPs and most PRSs are angled set necks, while the EBMMs are bolt on. I'm not sure this is a fair comparison.

i'd say gibson. I never played an EBMM, however i tried a PRS and to me its more midrange. I love that thick ballsey tone in a Gibson LP. Both are great guitars but i must admit PRS do have nicer appeal and build.

bro whitestrat

those are one of the most beautiful beings these eyes have ever seen...

Thanks. They are nice, and my favourites...

If you have the chance to, you should try one. Though they are pretty hard to find now. Not quite the same things as Les Pauls, but they fill a nice gap inbetween those who want an LP-ish tone, but feels like a strat. But the design is pretty generic, and I think can be obtained from many other guitar brands. Except the mahogany tone blocks in them and the brass trem blocks, though I think a well made boutique guitar can feature those things too.

Did anyone say Silo Spec??

A amazing pair of Sparkling Balls here!!!

only that poor man like me can afford the SE range of PRS and an Edwards.

Ive been checking out Tremonti tracks and damn his Single cut is explosive!... but i hvant seen a single vid with a lousy tone for an EBMM JP6, highly impressive guitars. hmmm, had given both my Firebirds an intensive today and i still think their huge sounding. gotta get to kennethC's place for the PRS, and to Leecs for the Musicman hmmm? gotta coax brendan to give his SingleCut up for experiments, we should all meet and whack somewhere. ha ha.

well heres my 2 precious here...the PRS Custom24 and the Edwards Les Paul Standard...
the PRS neck profile r jus right for me and it has the playability there...and of cos..its an absolute eye candy...

as for the edwards...i had a choice to get a gibson when i bought this piece..and the reason why i choose the edwards is jus simply...it feels right to play...and i believes most ppl who had tried and played the edwards will be amazed by its craftsmanship and tone...

I've tried a few PRSs and honestly, I've never been able to get that killer Tremonti tone. I think he gets those tones despite his single cut, and a lot has to do with his rig. It's awesome man!

Oh ya... I still got to pop over to Leecs place to check out his amp.
