just cleaning up 40yr old virgin gold dust around hard to reach spots..
that broken pot need replacemnt, it just cam off when i try to take off the knob..

Particularly... Black chrome is what i must have. i found a company in the US that has black chrome aka Cosmo paint. comes in pints. the issue they dont send to sg.

spoke to a friend in the shipping industry (oil) and gave me a heads up. so im trying to work that out.. see how it goes.

another way i read about is to get a good quality chrome locally and transparent black/smoke colour to achieve the result. should go as high gloss black (base) > clear > chrome > transparent black (if can find) > clear.

since i have quite a bit to spray for both project gits, i think its worth investing.

Maybe if you are planning on having that effect, you should spray chrome with the can paints and use like a transblack spray on top

yeah.. that may be more feasible. its time i make a visit to Tamiya store along upp paya lebar. ive never seen a transblack spray tho.

Im also going down to a hobby store called Storm over at Penin. read on a forum they have what im looking... alclad and Gaia (brands - makers of chrome paints)

heres a ridiculously ambitious thought... if i can work this out well... wouldnt it be cool to turn it into a biz? provide both chrome and black chrome paint service for craft stuff.

About 15 years back, there was a workshop near BMC Bedok that does chrome plating srevice. Went there a couple of years back, no longer in sight. Any idea if such service still available? I think Gold plating was also available somewhere near Joo Chiat then... but for rings and jewelleries.
