Project Guitar Appreciation

Hi Mods and all,

I can't seem to find any project guitar appreciation thread. I have worked on a guitar that is neither a strat nor tele...

Is it worth discussing this? Project guitars with under $500 worth of parts + $500 worth of labour...

Just wondering... anyway, i think this is a good site for the project guitar enthusiast Welcome to GuitarAttack!

Heh... I got something coming up... Something that involves a 3lbs Ash body, trans black nitro finish, and a quartersawn flame maple neck... Can't wait!

I'm so tempted to post mine up!

This was taken when it was first completed. Now it has gone through a series of mods and relic-ed. Natural relic.

Hehe... I never thought this thread would move at all...

This is another project that was supposed to be sold but withdrawn to work on it further... Plans: 1) Vintage Tint for neck plus Oil finish 2) Pickguard to change to Green Pearloid (managed to get hold of one but no where else fits so it'll sit here...

Naviros, Maybe the body that you've seen is another piece altogether cos I got this piece new ;)

My main guitar is also a project... will post in due time

Hmmm... maybe... My project now is my workhorse guitar. Thinking of air brushing it (i have a compressor and air brush, which i use to paint gundam models), starting with my pick-guard. Won't exactly do radical things such as change body/neck, maybe some time in the future :p

Post some pics once you're done with it bro. I am looking around for an air brush kit too for a dream project....

This is my main guitar, fully self assembled from licensed parts (except for ibanez humbuckers)... may be rested or sold once the latest project is up...

Got my airbrush from an creative director cousin. FREE~! Hahaha... cos he upgraded to better airbrush and compressor... Currently looking for telt to protect the rest of the guitar as I spray... seems quite hard to find nowadays...

For now only gonna spray a Xue (Snow) character on my pickguard... Thinking of asking my fashion friend to design a little bit of gildings for me... Maybe colour selection too... will post when I get it done...

Reviving the Interest

Hi Evry1,

I'm kicking this thread back up. With my soon to go project guitars. and a glimpse of soon to come...

Revived from Dead. A 1997 alder body, Burly maple neck given a Crash and Burn treatment. More pics will come when I decide to sell this guitar to make room for others.

this used to be a seafoam green strat body...

been very inspired by tyler's schmear finishes... so i decided to make my own... gold schmear type guitar with exposed arm rest... i stopped at the initial gold layers though... cus i felt it looked pretty damn good already. i put on 5-7 coats of clear to seal the deal.
still some finishing touches to be done...
