exactly what i thought, what a piece of shit.
and i read some of the comments saying "call the police", wow. these are 10-12 year old kids! i'm assuming the "stomper" is at least 16? how much more of a voyeuristic wimp can you be

Shit man i always see this bunch of kids back when i always went to bt merah library to mug for Os. haha stomp again... tsk

Please do not 'shoot the messenger'. I am sure you guys have seen those wartime photo/film right? They put their life on danger to capture the visual which otherwise the world would not have seen.

Hope things will get better for those kids.

James, we are talking about kids here. Whoever took the pictures, unless he/she was a 9 year old as well with absolutely no ability to defend himself either physically or verbally, VERY WELL should have stopped the incident.

Instead, this person let it go on so that he/she could snap pictures, and post it on stomp. Comparing this to wartime pictures is quite off, very different scale.

I think this person SHOULD be flamed. Stopping the incident and asking the little girl to go back home would have been the much better option

If he shoo the kids away and not taken these photos. The society will not know of this issue and will not be able to do anything to help them.

We are looking at the bigger problem that is in those kids rather than that one event.

Aiya.. Most of the time people just watch what happens to others.. very few would lend a helping hand..from what i've seen.

Only when push comes to shove ( eg : things happening to their loved ones ) do people actually take action.

This guy, busy clicking away on his camera obviously was too pussified to help,

( I mean anyone wanting a photoshot of this can just take 1 photo and dash in there to solve the problem. These people are just kids. )

Or

The guy who captured the incident was part of the bullies. ( wanting to shame the victim. )

superpotato yes alot of people will not help other people if their at risk, but these are KIDS.

Have you heard of the good samaritan law? I think it's only in america though. Basically if you clearly aren't at risk and you still do not help someone, you are breaking it. They should implement it here, so singaporeans stop being so goddamn wimpy.

This is great.

ok cool, i live super near this place. and hell yeah, this gesps and bmss kids are always here. mostly malays. anw well, these people are always at the void deck blasting their music and riding their "modified' bikes. like man.

ok strange thing. when i play soccer at the "do not play soccer" court there, the police would arrive within a few minutes, but man, check out the vigilance when it comes to this grp of kids smoking and making a nuisance out of themself under the block. i hope the police can set their pirioties right, in choosing which case to solve first.

just my opinions

Bringing the incident up is one thing, and I have nothing against that.

But not stopping violence immediately when one sees it is pathetic. I have frightened kids older than them and I'm only 18, and not exactly physically built to frighten/scare/get into a fight. Pardon my poor english here, I will speak with what I'm most comfortable with: You can take so many pretty pictures, blur them some more, can type with such "powerful" words(therefore I assume you're no 10 year old), like "insidious", "fiasco", "retaliate(debatable of course)", but you can't defend a girl from a bunch of kids, that's just sad. Even if you do not look threatening at all, you can always threaten to call the cops, and then proceed to do so.

I declare the STOMPer's entire course of education a total flop.

You may have a good education, speak and type with good english, but if you can't uphold BASIC moral justice and stop this kind of nonsense, you are no better than one of those kids beating up the girl.

My 2 cents.

Calling all people at least 175cm tall and 80kg, we need to do something about this. Call the cops and haul these kids to the right authorities, letting them run amok like this is preposterous.

its called the by-stander effect - people will tend to assume someone else will go help her. The photographer cant be the only one witnessing this incident.

luckily , i'm out of my old school , bmss . i really hate the kids in my old school aka the mats & ah bengs . give the school problem only , almost every month got police call the school . i'm seriously disgraced to be an ex-bmss student . think they smoke smoke , talk loud , go against law , can rule the hood ? no shit way man .

this kids needa brought into serious action already . letting them go ? they'll come back showing off more .
