does the bolt on neck on the 260 make much of a difference compared to the sas set neck?

difference in terms of upper fret access- the SAS models provides unobtrusive upper reaches but with the bolt-on SA260, it's still very comfy. the SAS neck is a finished unit so some might find it sticky over prolonged playing.

Sub, am contemplating either an EDA900 or SR900, any comparisons between the two?

the EDA is discontinued, it has a piezo option for those of us keen on some acoustic resonance.

SR900ANF.jpg

the SR, in my books, are simply good instruments to pass. the 900 is one of the very few non-Prestige, Bartolini equipped unit.

bottom line: try both. get the one you like in terms of feel/ tone. make sure you plug into an amp with at least a 10" speaker.

stock availability- Thursday 29th June as previously stated.

the M100C hard case is recommended for RG/ S/ SA models, it's one of the most affordable & above average offering by Ibanez. it's currently $100, more affordable than the SKB FREEDOM.

hey sub, we went down today and i got him to try out the SRX 500 and he's hooked.

one Ibanez SRX500 (prefably transparent black finish) please!

that's a cool choice. if he's not too particular about an instrument outline, keep the RD in view. the coil-split option simply makes this one very appealing/ versatile.

they dont seem to have the RD500/600 (they used to have a few RD600 at the last two sales) at bras basah, only a RD505 and he's not up for a 5 string yet. however, yes it's probably one of his choices on the sale day. thanks man! =)

yo sub. im keen on getting an rg 350dx(white). any news on its availibility? oh and may i noe wat make is it(taiwan, china, etc)?

thx

all the ibanez RG3XX series are Korean 8) , i didn't see a white one but will check for you. if it's not available, do consider the 370 instead.

good to know. some stuff might just appear on sale day... 8)

wah sub u reply so damn bloody fast. lol. thx dude. i wan the white one coz of cosmetic reasons. heh:D looks freaking nice. i noe this is nt the proper criteria to use when looking for a guit bt i always look at cosmetics first. haha. thats y i was thinking of getting pgm3 coz of the reversed headstock. bt then im a sucker for sharkfin inlays. and also heard alot abt the rg350 being better than the pgm3 so decided to go for an rg350.

the RG350 is a much better offering than the PGM3. however, if you choose to ignore the ILT bridge in the latter & just play whammy-free stuff, it's quite a good bargain. but then again, if it's within your means ($$), the 350 is preferred. SOFT has reviews of these guitars if you have not already read them 8)

yep read both reviews. for me its down to cosmetics nw. since i dun reali whammy much. bt in the reviews the pgm3 lists for $900 and the rg350 for $850. so isnt it supposed to be cheaper than the pgm3, even after the 50% discount?
