pre-SALE (July 06) discussion: Gibson/ Epiphone

we look forward to acquire certain guitars especially during sale times, only to be let down by price revision- i understand you...

let me shed some light here. let's use the Gibson LP Std as an example. the current street listing of this guitar is USD 3,450 which is about SGD5,430. swee lee's list price for the LP Std is $5K, which isn't that far off. it's a fair price IMO.

PS: i'm not a swee lee employee, i'm not defending any distributors here.

not too sure about that, these Explorers are from the pre-58 (current Korina models) batch. will update soon...

why dont you just get a regular SG/LP and slap on a humbucker sized p90 ala the seymour duncan ones?

I'm afraid that the SD ones don't sound like the Gibson P90s...not many set neck LPs have switches at the bottom...SG...is there a G-400 @ SL? 'Coz the last time I checked their web, I couldn't find the G-400...

gibson makes their own humbucker-sized single coil: P-94

Yea, I know about the P94...but there're so many people from different forums with differing opinions...headache...

Is there gonna be a Epi G-400 ebony on sale?

Hi I need some help on deciding which epiphone model to get . I like les paul and i have a budget of $600 -700 . In addition i also wish to get a hard case along with my guitar . Anyone can recommend a gd epi LP after discount with price arnd 500+ ?

'good' is really subjective here. but i'm sticking to my earlier recommendations:

*LP Boneyard
*LP Zakk Wylde

ignore the endorser's monicker, these guitars are good in their own right. for those of us who are not keen on the lacquered neck, the ZW model offers a bare (satin) maple feel.

despite being a signature model, the Epi LP ZW/ Boneyard are subject to 50% off. i'll update changes if there are any 8)

Zakk Wylde's LP is kinda different because it offers a maple neck instead of the traditional mahogany. it's also lacquer-free at the rear so it feels very playable. refer to SOFT's database for a review.

hey......

confirm or wad 50%??????

wow!.......

now its either epi custom.......

which one ah??

the reason why i didn't reply- i HAVE NOT checked. you can be a step ahead by calling the showroom: 63367886

the ZW LP Custom is within the $600+ price bracket.
