pre amp advise

hey
i got a question on pre amps
i'm currently using SD 1/4 pounders for my bass (P/J aliglment)
thinking of getting onboard pre amps

any recommendations?
do i need to get 1 for each pic up?

pls advise

u just need 1 on-board pre. but u can get the 18v for more oommmpphh

onboard preamp replaces the electronics. on a passive bass, that's a bunch of wires

locally you can go for aguilar (TYMC), audere, john east, ACG (cherns) depending on your budget and what's available. might require routing. again, depends on what you decide to get.

can also consider outboard preamps if you don't want the hassle
there is or is it was a nice sadowsky outboard pre on sale here

most onboard preamps are usually built to fit in tiny places. but if u want to keep your bass pristine, choose a pedal.

and many more. all are about the same price, from 200bucks up.

do tell us abt the 31yr old teach and 15yr old boy...pretty pls....

i keep my basses fully passive, both pups and electronics and go for a outboard pre-amp. i am not a purist tho..but i like the options to swap in and out pre's.

came out in the new paper last time. teacher knew boy when he was in pri 6, later on start giving him free chinese tuition, and then free other kind of 'tuition'. then she regret and want to end it, boy start threatening her, she report to CID. but she ended up herself getting arrested.

mother of 2 some more. maybe i should be aiming for 40 year old women instead. seems to work :twisted:

the good thing about outboard pre is that it sometimes comes with drive and DI, which is almost never found onboard
