Pls help to recommend a digital piano for jazz piano learner

Eh...you took only few days to decide a model & buy it, then took only few days to play with it, then feel "Not User Friendly", then decide to sell it.

Don't you think it is too fast to make such decisions?
Since you only bought it few days, I think you still not familiar with it. Thus you feel "Not User Friendly". If you willing to speng more time on it, will it be more "User friendly"?

ghn4ever, the rd series are designed to be the MOST user-friendly stage keyboards - both the RD300SX and the RD700SX. They are made in a way so a live player can easily access sounds, control fading of layering of sounds etc. Which aspect of the RD300 did you find user-unfriendly?
As for the DGX, do know that the sound isn't going to be as good. With the relatively low cost, I cannot confirm that the graded hammer keys are the same generation as the other higher-end keyboards like the P series. But I haven't tried it, so can't tell. But of course the good point is you get build-in speakers. Do know that the DGX and the RD are 2 totally different animal. You are thinking of switching from apple to an orange. RD is a stage piano; DGX is a portable arragner keyboard.

Ouch... expensive lesson. Perhaps u should have taken the guru's advice here and stuck to your p120. Again, its more than enuff for jazz piano.

Guys, maybe let's leave this fellow to spend more money experimenting on other kybds before he finds the suitable one! Sure, budding kybdists should help each other, but this guy who knows how to play the piano yet play ignorance...Gheez, give me a break!

:lol: maybe I've put too many "!" in my post. gh4ever, no offence meant. Anyway, read my last paragraph again...I didn't imply that asking people was wrong. I wrote "don't rely only...". As highlighted many times in this forum by many players, the feel of keys is a subjective thing. The best is to lay your own hands on it to judge for yourself. Enjoy your kybd.

I had already tried most digital pianos available in sg mkt b4 i bought Rd300. for me,the touch of DGX620 and Rd300 's keys are about the same. but DGX620 has a screen, which is easier to operate, and more straight forward as compared to Rd300, i think. but, i dont like the sound from lower keys and upper pitch of DGX620.
your guys' words make me feel better now. Rd300 is anyway a good stage piano. i gotta put more effort on the manual.

You don't need a screen for easy operation. There are things that the DGX620 cannot do while the RD300 can - the most important being the ability to control the volume of each layer independently using faders.
Yamaha piano sounds are infamous for the terrrible high-registers. This is evident even in the best e-pianos. The DGX will surely be worse - as you have already heard for yourself.

Qestion: Is Rd300sx competible with my Bose 301 speaker ? Impedance of Bose 301: 8 ohms, 4 ohms, Frequency response: 10 Hz to 120 Khz.
I am not happy with PC speaker right now. however, if i wanna use Bose 301, I need a very long wire cable to connect my DP in my study room to d amp in the living room.

Since you have already spent money on a good instrument. It's more logical to match it to a decent set of active speakers.
For your case, you can look at active monitors from brands like Alesis, KRK, Yamaha, Behringer....etc.
Try to get minimum Bi-amped 100W or more with 8-inch speaker or bigger. This is to do the sound justice.
A good sound should entice you to practise harder and learn faster. The rest is up to you.

Wonder if it is competible with DPs and monitor speaker?
Btw, I am not a professional musician and I do not have many KBs. Of cos, I will get a new pair of monitor speakers, most likely yamaha or tascam but do not feel like investing too much on a mixer. Pls advise. thks.
