How about complaining about the picks for a change. 
I don't like the Awe-in-one normal picks for one. By no means do I think it's a bad product - I'm impressed with the stuff John does -but I'm a clumsy pick user and I usually end up using a random side of the pick when I pick it up. There's no reference point for me to know which edge I'm using.
Of the Profound ones I like the transparent purple picks quite a bit. It adds that sparkling sound to the notes.
Dislike Jazz IIIs - I understand why people use them but they feel plasticky to me.
The dark blue "default" Dava Control picks are wonderful but I suspect it feels good for people who have difficulty keeping their picks in their fingers after playing for long. (Like me.)
Nowadays I just grab any pick I find and go though. As long as it's not too unconventional to use.
By the way, for newbies here and looking for more information, scroll down this page all the way to the bottom and click on the similar threads - lots of information there - even if a lot of them are the meaningless replies I mention.
