Agree...

My friend has a Gibson SG 61 reissue... well can't really tell the difference in tone comparing it with the SG special... so the bottom line is, if u'r collecting an SG of course a SG 61 reissue would be more appealing but playing wise the special is definitely on par and at that price range it's even better!

Pinkspider: Agree that ESP will cost a bomb and from what i know it's only available in Japan, custom order only. But it's just so darn gorgeous. After conversion according to the website, 1 million yen is roughly S$13,185.45.... that's like the price of 2 PRS modern eagle.... :( Can down pay for a bloody car....!!

Yah man..never will i be able to afford unless im a millionaire =D

but if you are keen, i think some japan dealer like ishibashi might help you take the order. But the 1 you posted not so expensive ah, about 6.5k. The 1 million yen is a limited edition, thus so exp.

i have a '61 reissue as well.
if havent already, ask your friend to play it clean with mild distortion then you can hear all the little differences.

I think this is one of the most unique guitars ever made.... used by Sugizo from the now defunct Luna Sea... just wondering whether any of you softies know whether anyone has it in singapore....

I saw one at Davis a while ago..but it was in black. Not sure if it was ESP or Edwards though.

what happen to 67?nobody owns a 67?love the pickguard.61 has a simple pickguard compared to 67.
