Ok guys.. heres some pics of my christmas presents to myself.

Ibanez AR2000 prestige
this was collecting dust for 4 years in a guitar store here in L.A ...

it honestly looked like shit when i brought it home ... at a nice price too!!
Now it looks awesome. after some wiping...just wait till i bring out the polish...

this all maple monster 7 is in the ups truck on the way to me... cant wait to play all kinds of weird stuff on it. No more muddy Low B.
as you can see it has a new bridge humbucker in place.

thats the thing.. i wonder why.... this guitar is really a good marriage of japanese innovation and good old TONE. the gilbratar bridge with the quick change string system is so convienient ... the neck heel etc... and the sustain on this guitar is really sumthing... if people will pay gibson lespaul prices... they should seriously consider this... its full of design upgrades lespauls should have incorporated long ago...

there are many designs out there which have benefitted simply from refining the Gibson 'oversights' but people are still banking on the 'Gibson' goodwill.

i think the pedals have got to be at least 5 years old.. belonged to my big bro but luckily he stopped playing electric and is playing acoustic now whats the diff between MT-2 and HM-2? looks the same.. and yeah its sporting an edge.. had a difficult time tuning cause i didnt know how it would look like at perfect float..

List price was $3200, the discounted price on normal days would be $2600. I paid $1625, very cheap, considering its a 2005 model

but it used to only cost arnd 1.5k for a 3120 from swee lee man.
now they doubled the price...

it's not them who doubled the price, 2005 saw a price hike for the 3120 everywhere, not just here in s'pore.
