In case no one has noticed, this thread has reached 1000 replies!

Unforunately I just made the 1001th reply haha

Chimaera : nice platinum PRS, but the black knobs look so strange on a silver guitar, I think it's calling out for chrome knobs to be fitted lol :D

The rivera amp i got it 2nd hand. SL was the distributor last time but it wasnt moving so they stopped it. Its a great tube amp. Has two independent channels. The gain channel is shaped to mimic closely Marshall JCM 800 (very good job of it) and the clean channels mimic fender blackface/brownface. (not as clean as a fender but gives a nice bluesy grit when pushed). Comes with a darn nice footswitch as well. Highly recommended if u can find it ard. Am saving up for a Mesa F30 and run both am together. Fender-Marshall-Mesa.

The black knobs i find great with the platinum colour. Tho nickel knobs will do the job great i guess hehehe. The case is not OHSC is a standard gator case. I got it second hand n it didnt come w the ori case. Tis ok can slowly acquire the ori case later on,... 8)

i got it from yamaha plaza sing 2004 july. I was there browsing with my friends with no intention of buying anything and saw this gorgeous guitar calling out to me , I decided to try it, and couldnt put it down. And I ended up buying it on the spot  This is one impulse purchase that i never regretted.:D

Maybe u can ask them if its possible to bring them in?

2K sing. Am not sure if tts a good deal in here or not as there arent many standards around but i find it a fair price. I wanted sumthing to complement my SAS n retain the PRS feel n playability so i chose standard, all mahogany, n set neck compared with the SAS swamp ash-maple set neck. The different pickups obviously make a difference. The standard pickups are hotter than the SAS,...

id say its a pretty gd price if the guitar is in gd condition. n plus its a real looker. looks like a double cut version of the platinum tremonti model.

The only thing that I have against new PRS guitars is the chunky neck heel that they introduced, previously the neck heel was contoured and there was lots of fret access, now there's a big block of wood in the way. But they did it to reduce the chances of dead spots on the fretboard though, so I guess they had to trade something for that.

Am ok with the chunky heel. Guess i got used to it. My previous guitar was a gibson lp studio. So somewhat restricted upper neck access is sumthing am used too. But the neck heel is not as bad as lotsa ppl say. Id say it feels kinda natural after a while. Mine has the wide fat version so its not a shredders guitar but it has a very nice feel for it, perfect balance between grabability and playability,... 8)

Epiphone commemorates 50 years of Les Paul guitar production with a limited edition 50th Anniversary Les Paul Custom guitar with special artwork highlighting historical moments in Les Paul's career.

Based on the top-of-the-line, ebony-finish Custom model, the 50th Anniversary features a montage on the back that includes black-and-white performance photos of Les Paul, with artist renderings of his famous 1952 "Goldtop" model and his homemade "Log" superimposed over the images. In the early 1940s Paul assembled his Log - one of the first electric solidbody guitars, built on a 4-by-4 pine board - in the Epiphone factory, using the two halves of an Epiphone archtop body as the Log's "wings." His famous signature "Goldtop" of 1952 was Gibson's first solidbody electric guitar.

The Les Paul 50th has classic Custom appointments, including gold hardware, engraved truss rod cover, pearl block fingerboard inlays, humbucking pickups and tune-o-matic bridge.

The Epiphone 50th Anniversary Les Paul Custom will be produced in a limited run of 2002 guitars.

Nice looking LP except I don't really fancy the pictures on the back and the pickups (The gold humbucker pair makes the guitar far sexier.) :D
