Actually what's so good abt the kahler bridge, I have no idea man. I seldom use the whammy, most of the time I use my right hand to do tt vibrato thingie

IMO, kahlers are more efficient than floyds, and still dont need a huge hole in the guitar.

I just bought a SZ320MH, list price was $920, after discount $720. I think the finished versions (Sunburst and Gold) are the same price too.

Hi people

This is my custom strat. These are the specs:-


Body- Premium grade light ash (3.2lbs) (Musicraft)
Neck- 2-piece Birdseye Maple, Abalone dots,22 frets (WD)
Nut- Micarta
Pickups- Kent Armstrong STV-1/1R
Bridge- Fender/WD
Colour- Transparent Butterscotch

Not really happy with the finish cos the ashbody was'nt 'filled' before laquering & finishing. It's smooth but u can feel the grains.
This guitar was sprayed & put together by Phillip of Hougang. Malcolm(empty71@hotmail) re-did the set-up
This baby plays like a Dream!!!

love the pick guard. though a gold pearloid would really bring out that butterscotch

the strat looks amazing. n the pickguard goes really well with the fingerboard inlays and the body n neck seems to almost be one piece with the uniform colour. a nice guitar for visuals. how much did it cost to make?

Hi people

Maybe I'll post some clips in future..my playing is rather rusty now.
The partsI got em frm ebay (auctions) & also thru dealer's contact. Plus setup, I believe it cost me abt $1300...can still get cheaper if not for the 'custom' finishing.

Yeah, I wanna change the pickguard too...maybe white perloid. The original 'intented' colour of the body is transparent white (Mary Kaye) but somehow it turned out butterscotch.
I'll ask Malcolm to re-do the finish once his shop is up..probably early next year.

I love the neck the most...it has got this natural 'feel' (thin laquer on fingerboard) & super low action. Malcolm liked this guitar too.
