Pedals? analog or digital?

Just wondering if anyone can enlighten me the difference in sound quality between guitar pedals using digital and analog system...

Google/wikipedia for what is analog and what is digital for a start. Whether is it pedal or in engineering term, doesnt matter, just read up on those first.

heh, of course, unless if yo wanna be sucked into the darkworld of what people been talking in ages among gear forum between analog and digital gear, then wait for a while, there will be lotsa infos given, you will be either confused, more confused or still couldnt really understand why analog is analog, digital is digital, other then analog-warm/organic/real, digital-cold/fake/lifeless.

i am a noob, just recently converted to analog pedals right after ive been enlightened by the sound of it. last time i did use digital, the ones that i use are of zoom 505 and boss gt8, it was great, but then i try a friends of mine analog pedals thats of sansamp gt2 and an mxr 10 band eq, those 2 alone changes my whole life in terms of sound, the changes starts 2 months ago and ive had not gone back to digital since then, but then again its up to people preference..=)both are good in their own world=)

tim: not entirely true. there are quite a few digital units that would sound worlds better than an analog would (G-force, anyone?), so digital definitely =/= bland.

i could think of quite a few reasons why i'd rather use a digital delay than an analog one. the pristine-ness for one.

not all single pedals are analog, they can be digital as well. so don't get mixed up alright.

not all single pedals are analog, they can be digital as well. so don't get mixed up alright.

hei relakx man, i know im a noob, be nice ya=) i know that digital and analog pedals can be mix, ive seen them on my bros pedalboard and it sounded great and his using a memoryman with hazarai and a dd7 in his setup though i dunno why he needs 2 delays but then again its his needs=), maybe in my previous post ive spoken wrongly, but yup so relaks ya.=)

if the pedal sounds good, it sounds good.
if you can use the pedal for your music, its a good pedal.

listen with your ears and not your eyes aka marketing spreadsheets.
