this pedaltrain is breaking my back. and i can't afford to downsize too. does anyone know of a place (besides ordering overseas which will cost me a bomb) where i could get something like this?

if any local manufacturer is hearing(reading) this, please consider this option. i'm sure it'll be selling like hotcakes.

i'm sure it'll be selling like hotcakes.

please do a marketing survey first before making that statement!

I had a 13 year old kid coming to tell me that HE'LL GUARANTEE THAT MY EH PEDALS WILL SELL LIKE HOTCAKES. He should be 22 by now...

whitestrat: not much actually, currently fully utilizing the pedaltrain 2 sc. i've seen others in this forum use the pt pro and i'm wondering how the heck they transport their stuff. it's either they're incredible hulks or they have roadies; or i'm just a lazy mofo.

edder: hahah dude, i know i'm no SIM graduate but i guess good things come to those who wait. i wish you all the best. btw, i am seriously thinking of getting ur pedal. are u tied up with orders currently?

Many pedalboard owners don't gig. Bedroom players, hence no need for wheels.

Also, many who gig have a bigger set of wheels. We call it a car :D

ive seen local pro musicians use this... they put in their music stands , guitar stands... pedal board etc...

no need so high end la.. if you gig around alot, this will do the trick.
and yes if you want alot of gear at your disposal everywhere u go.
best bet is still a van or car.

yeah ark, i've heard of those 'car' things too, in fact i drive one. mighty useful i might say. but this 'car' unfortunately can't go most places when it comes to jamming/performances.

yeah chanmin! i was thinking of that too actually. all i need is to get the dimensions right. effective and economical! :D

I used to see this keyboard bag with wheels by Gator in PS Yamaha. Dono if its still there... My ex-keyboardist was comtemplating buying it last time..

i think they still have it. my keyboardist just got one recently

I gave up my search for one but I was determined to make my own pedalboard with wheels and here’s what I came up with. Just wanted to share with you guys if you guys wanna make one too. Hopefully it doesn’t turn out as freaky as mine.

First, here’s my inspiration.

(taken from http://www.stompin-ground.com/products/sgcases.htm)

Factors in deciding the final outcome:
- light
- spacious
- durable
- wheels

So here it is. My frightcase. Yes, FRIGHT.

Untitled-2.jpg

Materials and construction:

Case

- Large plastic storage container (actually meant for under-bed storage thus the narrow depth.) Available at Howard’s Storage World or Giant.

- Old luggage for its tilt wheel and handle(dismantled and cut) and side-handle(dismantled) Side-handle for carrying it briefcase style but I’ll try not to use it often. Both items fixed on the plastic container. These joints had to be the strongest. (refer to C and D)

- Luggage straps. (refer to A and E) Lockable one for the outside and a normal clip one for the inside. The side locks that the plastic container had wasn’t secure enough.

- Opaque decorative adhesive film. To cover up the container (comes in a roll). I went with black. Available at DIY shops.

- Cheapo floor mat. (refer to F) Glued on the inner sides of the case for some protection.

- Bubble wrap. Made into a pillow for pedal protection. Can also sleep on it if you’re tired during jamming.

- Two small wood cubes. (refer to B) to make the case stand straighter and to protect the plastic when it’s upright.

- Various nuts, bolts and screws. To fix the ‘tilt wheel and handle’ and ‘side-handle’ to the plastic container. Here’s the tricky part, as I had to be careful not to crack the plastic.

This was further strengthened by:
- Araldite to the joints and fixtures. (epoxy. It’s stronger than plastic when dry.) Available at DIY shops.

Pedal board

- Plywood and 2 handles. (refer to G) Plywood cut to size according to the inner dimensions of the box. Handles screwed on the sides. Available at Ikea, shelving area.

- Velcro

So that’s basically it. It took about a week plus to do with a lot of treasure hunting for the materials and also sweat and cursing for the construction. I got lazy with the finishing touches actually with the outer adhesive film as you can see but I guess the thing about DIY is that there’s a certain kind of satisfaction no matter how the product turned out.

Tell me what you guys think aye?

Cheers. :)

Thanks man. The one we traded is my main board. Loving the simplicity and the weight. :D Glad you're enjoying urs too!

cool. Im enjoying it. its heavier than the misse case. Okay i study science. I was mugging for exams and i realised the PT2 sc is heavier because its further away from the body. The misse case handle is shorter so it feels lighter.

Upon saying this, i helped my bro carry his pt2 sc just now(darn heavy) and the empty misse small case back home. haha.
