Pdp Lxe

Hi i'm just wondering about how the PDP lxe sounds. Is it as good as what the site makes it out to be. I have to say e red stain over tiger ash is nice.

However my main concern is about e black hardware. Is the black hardware spray painted on such that it can get scratch off n thus susceptible to rust.

Thanks

I play a CX in church

from what I understand
pacific uses the same shells for its maple drums
it's the finishing and hardware pack which differs and of course, the tom configurations

the bearing edges of the shells are much better cut compared to their first series
sound is pretty good
but 1 thing i really didn't quite fancy about the pdp is the hardware

from lugs, hoops, tom mount system
i would say it does the job but not as sturdy when you compare it to say pearl exports/rockstars
the hihat stands and cymbal stands also feel rather cheap to me

from what I understand the LX series have better hardware compared to the mx/cx etc
but generally, I would vouch for the hardware from other mid range kits from the above mentioned big brands

in fact, I am using tama stands (from my church's rockstar) for the cx shells and relegated the pdp stands to the rockstar as it is a secondary kit for our smaller rooms

PDP maple shell series and birch series uses top of the line DW technology tom holders..

tho their lower 8000 series hardware are quite bad per se.
