That IS Frusciante's pedal board :lol: .. But ugh.. does a guy even need hat much.. makes me sick :smt019 By the time the guitar signal is processed, it wont sound like a guitar anymore.. and that too with al those filter modulators!!! Aaaaaaaarghhh .. *pukes*

the filter modulator can do lotsa things than just wanting a pure tone of guitar straight to amp..

never underestimate the thing you might not have chance to try before. Its another side of playing which one might not or even know what can be gotten and help in music making...

and for frusciante, his usage of those filter is actually quite mild and safe sounding. The way that he is connecting is prolly using only 5% to 10% ability of those filter...

In fact, I beleive I owned a Moog Murf filter before! Sold it though..

hah, murf can be gimmicky in someway. It will sound nice and whatever you call it when playing with it, but if wanting to put it in a song context with the instrumental in the backgroung, thats another thing.
