Paramore Fans Only!

if you're referring to my post, i was just re-using a previous poster's comparisons.

would you really say RHCP overshadows Blink 182? They're both of different genres, but I dare say I could confidently find more Blink 182 fans than RHCP. If they both toured together, they would co-headline, because neither would quite seem appropriate opening for the other. Blood Sex Sugar Magik and Enema of the State both sold 15 million copies, and are both must-haves in my (humble) opinion

Blink182 for the win!!:D

I would say RHCP is more successful than blink both commericially and artistically(IMO) to date. You give them the same amount amount of time RHCP took, and blink might be equally successful or maybe not?

But since this topic is on paramore, you give paramore the same amount of time blink take, they might be even more successful than blink ever was, because of the 'girl factor'?

my sister is a big fan of paramore. she started listening to them before they became mainstream.

before their mainstream success, my sis was sad. she said that usually bands like this, with a frontwoman, don't last long and usually don't become mainstream. though she hates mainstream.

ironically, paramore broke through. then my sis started complaining about all those poseurs suddenly listening to Misery Business and crushcrushcrush.

i myself think Paramore is a great band. though i don't listen to them that often. Hayley has one great voice, but i'm not sure if she can match Amy Lee's voice. Amy's from Evanscence by the way. both are great singers in their own way.

RHCP is an insanely talented band. Blink 182 i d say not as "talented", but they produce awesome yet simple songs, which tons of people including me love. So yea cant really say that either one is better because each have completely different strong points.

Paramore is definitely good but in my honest opinion i dont think they would go as far as either RHCP or blink.

it takes talent to write something simple and catchy. how many of us can write an anthem like Smoke On The Water or All The Small Things?

Paramore is pop rock, and i hate it.

the only band with a female singer i like is nightwish.
Paramore is pop-rock now because they're popular now !
Pop/Pop-Rock = Popular or rather Popular Rock.
hope u understand.
if one day Slipknot becomes Pop-Rock/Pop-Thrash/Pop-Metal, i think u'll hate them too cos u despise Popular music ?

and also, Lost Prophets, yes, the metal band is getting attention from our local radios playing their old song on air (Rooftops). i'm sure they'll become pop-rock or pop-metal or whatever soon. anyone going to stop listening to them once they're labelled that way ?
hopefully not, they're a great band.
