P-90 Single coil pickups

Hey there guys!

I believed i did ask about this before but have any of you guys tried out a P-90 single coil pickup before? If any of you do, please do post your impressions on it.

milkmesto has zhnged his sg to have p90 pickups. imho, more midd-ish sounding, helps u "cut thru the mix" i guess.

i have a epi 56' reissue goldtop lespaul with p90s and its my favourite!!!! p90s have a unique sound, full but not muddy. there is a middy nasally thing which i like (which makes it unique), and high notes sound full all the way up to the highest frets. if u play with medium gain u will like it! for high gain it has perhaps too much single coil hum

the p-90 is receptive to high gain settings as well but along with that comes the increased humming.

i do know of a SOFTIE thats selling his P94 which is essentially a P90 in a humbucker size....

he didn't take up my low ball offer price so... I guess its still available.

I have a Godin LG SP90 P-90 guitar. It's nice but I still want other guitars hahaha. I would say it is a cross between humbucker and single coil for tone. P90 tone is subjective - you must try it out to see whether you like it.
