anw i took out both the single coil and is planning to change the stock humbucker to emg or dimarzio pick up.

yup its a jap one.. i was on the brink of ordering it from ishibashi for approx $1200 when i decided to check luther's ads one last time , and i found my friend selling it second hand. so i grabbed it.

the pic doesnt do it justice man ... too .. bright. anyways its j-craft which is REALLY gd shit..
nothing fancy just that japs finally can decide what options to fit on the strats. No longer bound to making reissues etc...
gold hardware , texas special pus , white translucent burst finish. with a tinge of pearl. the finish is not olympic/vintage white... at an angled view it goes to pink/purplish white : pearlish white?

Ishibashi? Yeah i was doing the maths too... something like 1200, yeah. :roll:

But me still not too comfortable with buying a guitar without trying, although there's not much choice here when it comes to Jap strats. The ones at luther are mid-scale necks and dont have US pickups. Am i right?

Yeah if i spot another Jap strat on luther for a decent price, i'll try to grab it too

its the standard scale length... though i didnt measure..but i compared it side by side to a american 57 reissue...and it was the exact same length... yup jap strats certainly well built.

BTW, Did you correspond with ishibashi before? i was wondering if they have problem shipping to S'pore... did u ask them how much shipping would cost?

Its a 8yr old Dimarzio HS-3, btw, middle is a HS-2 same age n recently in june, changed my 12yr old bridge HS-3 (used to be on my yamaha b4 getting strat) to a Virtual Vintage 54 (twang galore)

My Burny LP custom


It's slightly more than 6 mths old. Love the warm jazzy tones as well as the edgy distortion i can get out of it.

Great value for money, IMHO.

And it 's pure eye candy for LP lovers...

ishibashi is really fast.. i emailed them and a " Noriko " emailed me back within 2hrs and im so sure she looks like one of those final fantasy hot babes... or at least a race queen.
Anyways... the shipping is included in the estimated price of 1.2k .


ishibashi is safe.. many of my friends have ordered with no problems.
