Original that sounds bad

Ok guys.......i have this problem , i dun really know know what effect that i should put on my original. Ok when play it acoustic, it sound nice. But when go in jamming, we feel it is like shit.....as in i dun really know the setup i should put. Ok roughly the song is something like chris daughtry type. When verse try to keep it clean but wif abit......of something(i dunnoe what is it) den when come to the chorus.......there will be distortion but not so heavy.......so wad setup i should use....anyway i using a zoom 505 for my effects.....

honestly, its your original. if its good acoustically and bad full band, leave it as an acoustic song.

but as Plastic mentioned, experiment. it can and will go a long way.
