Hey all,I have an acoustic guitar and it only has one strap nut at the bottom, which means i cant put a strap at all.Is it possible to install another strap nut so that I can put a strap? If its possible, how?

It is possible to put a strap. My acoustic was actually one strap nut but i bought another one and screw behind the guitar. But i dont know how. My father screw for me.

The quick release strap?Where can i get this? And does any shop do installing of the strap nut?

*ahem* because for acoustics, you're supposed to loop the strap at one end through the strap nut, but TIE the other end of the strat to the headstock. *ahem*

i think Davies might have quick release straps, i'm not very sure.

like Whitestrat said, the other end of the strap should be at the headstock. But i think adding one more near the end of the neck should be okay too.

If you have an expensive guitar and might want to resell next time, follow Whitestrat's method.

Otherwise you can get another strap pin/nut and drill/screw/install to the heel of the guitar neck. Doing this might reduce the value of your guitar if your future buyer is extremely particular.

Oh icic..I guess i'll follow whitestrat's method..or maybe install another nut since my acoustic is an hyundai acoustic..thanks all for your help :)

The Planetwaves strap connector is available at Zen Guitarwerkz for $7.50.

Anyway, you can just use those straps that have a string at one end.
