Om Laboratories, Sahasrara Overdrive

thanks for pointing it out james, and yes, i do feel a little foolish

very apparently, the links for the items in ubox move along as they update their items.. heh

anyway, just go ubox and type in om laboratories.. or simply put, there's a sahasrara od going for sale on a japanese second hand side

yeah i know that too. Cool stuff. Our local pedal builders are now respected in Japan. Whats next guys? USA!!!!!!!

from KayCee, Maestro Guitars

"... armed with a tongue twisting name and looks to match, OM labs latest concoction matches up to all the hype. It's a great pedal, boutique in feel and appearance and most importantly a fabulous sound at 1/2 the price of other boutique brands. Transparent, with just enough bite, chords ring out with such clarity it's almost eerie. I don't usually promote other ppl's stuff but please do yourself a favour if you want a supremely transparent overdrive with just enough gain."

mmmmm finally got myself one of these babies. Awesome sound, wide array of tones. Great build but the knob is kinda stiff to me, have to apply quite some pressure to get it down.

Other then that, a really great OD. Best part is tat its made in SINGAPORE. AMEN! Forgive me, im just patriotic.

knobs are stiff. hmm... maybe can adjust it slightly by loosening the set screw on the knob using a test pen. lift up the knob very slightly, just a hair would do and tighten the screw back.

thanks and you can contact me anytime on any issues regarding the pedal. :D

I had a peek listen to Nanoshred's demo of the pedal, and I must say Im really impressed with the serious tones out of the pedal.

It cleans up really really well.

Hope Nanoshred posts the demo soon. :D

This pedal has easily become one of the best overdrives i've had. It's gona be replacing my modded ts808 on my board. I modded the ts808 to suite myself and now i'm replacing it with this pedal. Oh wells!

One thing about this od is that it doesn't have too much mids unlike your general overdrive and tubescreamer. The range of the tone knob works really great for me, it doesn't sound muddy at any setting. The best thing i like is that it's got 2 gain stages, which allows for a great array of tones coming out of this thing (especially since adjusting the pregain also adjusts the presence). Lots of clarity here, your notes really ring out and aren't drowned out at all. And not surprisingly, it cleans up real well too.

ed, wonderful job here. the only thing is, is it supposed to come with so many stickers!?? lol. cos i received a whole lot! haha.

Arrggghh.... no discounts at all??? *Sigh*

Ok, ok... the sound clips are convincing enuff. I would probably give in to temptation and get a Sahasrara from one of them shops around Peninsula within these few months.
