Hmm.
Just want to start off a thread which pays some tribute to my favourite 'modern' band.
When I was small, my dad would play Queen stuff on the stereo and I fell in love with Queen. But by the time I was old enough to buy my own CDs, Queen were essentially defunct, and I was hoping for a band which would come along and revive that old vibe which Queen had.
Then along came The Darkness with their raw heavy sound and Justin Hawkins' soaring vocals and I was instantly riveted.
Favourite Darkness song: Black Shuck
maybe any of their fans here could also share how you came to know about the Darkness and what you love about them
