Official "The Darkness" Thread (come on in!)

I think I have to thank The Darkness for making me fall in love with rock music. I haven't stopped falling since. I love them.

Don't be shocked but I never knew much about rock until 3 years ago when I first heard one of The Darkness's songs, it was IBIATCL, I think. And I fell headfirst with it. Okay, my parents are those types who find Westlife 'noisy' already so you can imagine how they took to the Darkness. Hehe.

From the Darkness, my music horizon just expanded like mad & is STILL continuing to grow... I never really cared about the band's image, prefering to focus more on the music. Still, they are one of the bands I love not only for their music but also for their overall package.

Okay, fine. I love every single part of the Darkness. Hahaha. I'm such a fangirl. ohwells. I love their vocals, their everything. Woo!

And I also love the way how my friends try to imitate Justin's vocals & fail horribly. Makes good entertainment. YEA, and bathroom singing too!

Fav song? I Believe In A Thing Called Love. & Friday Night, I think it's damn cute. Hahaha. Any other girls out there who like The Darkness??

Any local bands cover their songs? I know it's plenty tough to do their stuff.. so far I've only been able to (barely) sing and play 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love'... and I've yet to attempt the last solo :?

Need shredder / tapper for this kind of job.

he's too addicted to drugs and alcohol...most musicians when they become like that...i think they feel that they aren't as productive as before...so they quit the band to either be a total junkie or go rehab

Hmm.

Just an update, it seems that Dan Hawkins and gang (minus Justin) have started a new band... let's hope that they keep on rocking!
