Just do regular cleaning of the chrome parts, you shouldn't have any problem. They look like they've got slight spots of rust or pitting already, do they?
Would be really interesting to hear the kit tuned up nice.
actually i havent mastered the art of tuning. so yea:/
Hmm got it secondhand with cymbals and cymbal stands , tama iron cobra jr double pedals for around 1.4k. Good buy cymabls not too good la. low end-mid range zildjians.
No rust yet. but yea black dots.. pretty worried they will get worse..
WD-40 adds a layer of oil-based lubricant around it to prevent oxidization of the metal. It is really used more as a lubricant than anything else.
I wouldnt recommend it as experience has shown that the lugs/screws does loosen quickly and your drums can de-tune faster than what you are normally used to.
WD-40 is some ugly blue can of anti-rust spray. Alot of diy stores sell them.
Oh, might as well ask something as well, to polish the drum set, can I use brasso?
Not sure, cos I rmb my friend using that to polish bowling balls after bowling.
Quite cheap.
but i heard that self taught is quite difficult to progress right?
two songs i can do on drums so far after 2 sessions are only 'i don't love you' and 'memory'. and these are not according to the original, its more like wat i feel i just play it on the drums....
