yeah. tomas haake is one of my great influences.
but i'm trying to shy away from his style of music.
too frequent use of poly rhythms and odd time pedal work just seems out of place sometimes.

but its good as a break down. A poly rhythmic break down always gets the moshers out!

:D

wait wait myner what you mean by A poly rhythmic break down always gets the moshers out!
? hahaha. suddenly cannot comprehend. like they will stop moshing or they will start moshing? hehe!!

haha no la! cuz i were there and you play poly rhythmn i will become confused instead mah. hahaha i dumb cannot ar! clever la JT

poly which means many.
rhythm which means... ah come on people...

thus poly rhythm means... playing grooves ontop of grooves. it can be just within a drumset, like maybe bass snare. or within the whole band like maybe. lead guitar, rhythm guitar. its up to you.
like MESHUGGAH!!!

What i like to do is keep a 4/4 beat on snare. maybe on the 3rd count. and i do some funky 6/8 foot patterns.

I.e.

C|x-----------|----x-------|--------x---|------------|
H|----x---x---|x-------x---|x---x-------|x---x---x---|
S|-------x----|------------|x-----------|----x-------|
B|x-x-xx-----x|xxx-xx--x-xx|--x-xx-----x|xxx--x--x-xx|

Haha i sense a big fan of K custom!.

Personally i dun really like the K customs, too heavy for me lol. My preference is of a brighter tone.

How much did all those K cymbals cost you?
