OFFICIAL- Show us your kits thread!

depends lah.... my 20" vault is slightly softer in volume then my 18" hhxtreme..

so it all depends on the characteristics of the cymbal itself. :)

Wa.... RD, how ya do the Buddy rich drum skin design? :) is wicked sick... Btw, ya have alot of drumsets... how many man? lol :)

My Friend Augustine did all these for me previously and now he don’t have the time anymore due to work commitment.

But he pass me a Contact - - The guy (an Advertising Company) will do it for S$60.00, but if you need him to do that Design, one have to pay another S$80.00 (maybe less I dunno since this Buddy-Rich Design is not so difficult to do) – so assuming he do it for you it will cost

S$60.00 for doing the design on your Bass Drum plus S$80 (for design assuming this is the price) = S$120.00Nett. You have to bring the Bass Drum Reso to him yourself (it’s near PICO at Kallang) but he will cut the Mic-Hole Free for you.

ehhh 6 drum kit now (but it's not Quantity it's Quality) all my drums are cheap ones...Except for one 1982 7pcs Pearl MLX - this one is good as it is Maple (the old Pearl Master) - but old Technology lah brother...this Kit and the Yamaha (the white one - a 1980s Kit and another 1968 Jazz Kit but are cheap wood) - - I just collect them as I love drums - don't think I play all of them - I only play 3 Kits.....The Mapex, the Gretsch and another 9pcs Green colour Yamaha Kit) - are for my practice.

I'll bet most other readers of that paper would be jealous of your drumsets, lol

I bought some old drums from a classmate recently. They've just been sitting around unused until I rescued them.

Decided to take some of them home and refinish some to match my kit. My set has sizes 10-12-14-20; this set is 12-13-16-22 so I took the 13 and 16 toms and the 22 bass. I'm helping my friend to sell the rest of the equipment. Haven't posted in buy/sell yet! Been lazy to photograph them xD if you're interested can always inquire with me first lol.

The 13 and 16 had broken skins and that let in spiders. Families of spiders. Really annoying since it was the 13 and 16 that I wanted to use. Chased them out and gave it all a damn good scrubbing, polished all the metal parts until they gleamed and so on. Somehow most of the rest of the equipment was actually in good condition. So I think it's really an issue of the broken skins letting in spiders and moisture. Lucky that the stands were not extended, the rubber gasket seems to have protected the insides so I only needed to polish the outsides a bit.

So, after a week of hard work polishing, sanding, dyeing and lacquering to match my current equipment...

I currently don't have the budget to replace the skins on the new components. Sadly, the skins that came with it (stock pearl heads) had broken batters, which was why it was lying in a corner (seems like some people don't know how to buy skins). So I am playing them without resos, using the reso as a batter. To make up for their thin-ness, I cut out circles from a broken skin to make "power dot" heads. The sound is (surprisingly) quite acceptable, although I can't wait to get new skins at the end of the year sweelee sale. It's good enough for now.

Suddenly upgrading to having so many pieces is really fun! But it makes positioning difficult. It'll probably take me a few days or weeks to settle down to something really comfortable.

Haha I'll post a thread in gear. It's very easy!

Mmm actually it's quite "neat". Everything's on the shelf behind the drum, just that everything on the shelf is damn messy. Reason being, when I drum I'll just turn around to pick up stuff to use, then I won't bother to put it back nicely. There's a lot of space to move, just not enough space to take nice photos.

Yup I agreed... with a some free space for ya drums it will superb.... anyways, your snare looks like a tama warlord snare, issit? :)

Hmm maybe I can think about it lol. But they share the room with my cupboard, yangqin, guzheng and a garden chair. I don't know why the garden chair is there. But I don't have anywhere else to put it, and anyway if I want to move it I'll have to like pack aside ALL the drums to clear space to move it out. Too difficult =O

Plus it's comfortable for guitarists to sit on, just that they're directly under my crash and china >D

hey guys... suddenly felt like posting up my kit again hahaha.
Have quite a few changes from previous picts

Did some adjustments to my pedals too..
