Drumdead - if I had your set up, my rudiments would be waaaaaay better than what I am now. lol. Just curious, your double pedal hit where ah?

I have a DTXpress III and I connect my double-pedals to the kick unit of the DTX.

i got a e-pad too! haha it's good stuff. but i had to buy an extra snare stand to hold it since i didnt buy the special one.

Hey guys i have a pearl export i dont know how to post the pic here.

but my pearl export has 4 toms and a floor tom i have like 2 crash and a ride.

i cant seem to put my ride in a comfortable position like chad smiths . i wan my ride to be infront of me but its always at the side.

i got nigel to tune my drums and changed my skins not too long ago and forgot to ask him to position my ride. i cant afford to get him to my hse again so guys pls help me !!

i find myself using all 4 toms most of the time.. i have stands but i need a good drum example so i can bulid it properly.

4 toms 1 floor 1 bass
3 cymbals
and abt 4 stands

hey ec-rose i saw ur self intro, i think the stuff u play dont need more than 3 toms haha, but they definitely need the ride a lot so forsaking one or both toms to fit ur ride in would help... its good to practice on the standard 3 toms rather than 5 when ur learning so that u get more challenge to make more fill ins, and you can ezily adapt to drum sets at studios and gigs later on. 5 toms will come in when u learn to fully utilise the standard 3 toms set. when i was starting out a i was eying a 7 piece kit also but i thought btr start of with a 5 piece to get use to the standard set up. well thats how i feel and i think a few of u out there will agree too. hope this helps
cheers n welcome to soft
