OFFICIAL- Show us your kits thread!

Yeah Alfe, I'm guilty as charged. I posted way too many versions of my drum set. I even have a "Drum Evolution" album on facebook hahah! Shameless gear whoring! Haha. Besides, I got nothing new to post...maybe after NS something will be up...*evil smile*.

You gotta admit though...this is one of the most successful threads in the Drum forum...hope it stays this way...

My even more humble setup:

I actually have and am still using a Paiste 101 16" Brass Crash. I know many people will say its low-end and its sounds yuckky but somehow its sound fits my unforgiving small-room accoustics ... It sounds warm and short, just the way I love my crashes. For brighter and more attack, I use a Paiste 502 16" Bronze and a wonderful Turkish 16" Regular Crash.

I also love my Sabian AA El Sabor Salsa 13" Splash. It is very versatile that can straddle a big splash/small crash.

The Turkish Crash sounds so colorful and crashing it still gives me the goosebumps :)

yea. the safest place to be in a jamming studio is behind the drummer the loudness is minimal. haha. so lie there and sleep! haha. cute kit anyway. love the mat. haha you can spell your name with that!

tsk tsk...look at us getting distracted by his stool and sofa when we shld be ooh-ing and aah-ing at his set up...

so how are the turkish classics working for you? :]

haha thats what that keeps soft moving ain't it. we talk cock. haha anyway. snowflier are you the one taking lessons at music clef? whose your teacher?

Man - I love those Turkish Cymbals. I bought them used from a Softie :) I didnt intend to buy the crash until I heard the sound. Man - it is just so colorful - that is the word I would used to describe it.

It really still gives me the goosebumps on hearing it. I cannot really play too much of it in this small room as it really moves a lot of air :) only when doing some of my recording I used it.

From the site:
Warm & colorful. Explosive sharp & cutting cymbal sound with plenty of attack.
