haha its almost 3 sets put together sort. right side is a navy blue pearl export, right bass drum some mapex thing which is old, and the 8 and 10 tom just bought from Kheir. i need more stands and cymbals and new skins. haha

lol yeah jamella. there's a small felt thing in between so can hit the splash alone, or the crash alone or both together. and angled just nicely. hahaha coz i didnt find the crash's bell appealing so i hid it. lol and thanks kahuna!

haha i entitle the picture, life of a poor but crazy drummer... hahaha and thanks for the kind words. just waiting for deepavali for the inflow of money, save up abit more then splash out everything at the swee lee sale at the end of the year and finally got some monster kit.

this is the set that i play on in hall
its an old Rogers kit... all the drummers in hall collate our gear together for performances, so we have a wide variety to choose from

My 1960s 3pcs ( Rossini Valencia “”31) Jazz Kit – Made In Japan belonging to Mr. Tama Goh (just got it on Saturday from Tama himself).
The Kit shows "TMA Limited Singapore" a early music company that was bought over by Swee Lee back in the 60's. It's somewhere along High Street during those days I guess. My dad saw this kit (TMA Stickers on all drums) and sayto me - "This must be old - cause when my dad did went to TMA to buy Records when he was younger and my dad is born in 1924". Heard TMA was established in 1945.
It's a 20" Bass Drum, 14" Floor Tom and a 12" Toms (nice configuaration for Jazz I guess ". I love the Mounting & Brackets, Cymbal Stand on Bass Drum (see pics it's cute-) and the entire Kit is having it's original Parts - except that I am to change the 12" & 14" Rims (Rusty liao - this is ok)...Orginal Muffler is intact and all Batter/Reso heads are Acquarians.....Heard from Tama he got this from someone when he was young.
PS: - Now I need a Matching 60's Snare for this Kit & a Snare Stands from the 60s - and I have place a bid now for Ludwig SpeedKing Pedal (Hope I win it). - ANy ADvice would be highly appreciated.

Hehehehe .. Not old school man though I'm old liao ... but ( I love those looks of the old drums eg Brackets, Cymbal Stands - there are beautiful to me) so - I keep them...especially those Jazz Kit.
Next time I invite you all come my home see the kit after I've done it up properly ok, cause I am still short of a snare, pedal, and hardware lol.

RD: wow, looks like its in a supremely good condition. the finish looks really unique and i just love the tom mounts and the cymbal stand that looks like an antenna sticking out.
its gonna be hard finding a snare that really matches the finish. a radio king with clam shell strainer would add on to the cute factor.. that would make the entire kit too cute to be true..
