haha, thanks guys.. still needs lots of add on lah.. so i slowly2 collect money, than get the gears...

the 8" tom is my only rack to so i use it for the time being.. Since it's really small, quite hard to do rolls quickly, sometime hit rims..

practise clave patterns on it lo... practise the independence... not easy stuff. takes years to master so i start collect money fast so can start practising earlier:D

i don't even know what MDC stands for..., PARDON MY IGNORANCE..

it's me or many drummers now like to incorporate a 2:3 clave note on a clave pedal and maintaining that clave pattern while doing a solo...

now that's hard shit right there... so i really wanna learn that stuff...

u never know, marc might be a octopus man with long arms and legs. Every set is custom arranged for the comfort of the player! hahaha

wah thts cool bro. soloing aiyoo can die ah, clave on foot some more. i am impresssed.
i'm trying to fuse funk and latin right now actually. so much to do my head is hurting. i wanna do a clave hi hat when i'm on the ride. still working on it though.
oh one thing, u can add a clave into a funk groove. can imply it sort of, dun have to be a 3:2 all the time. come to the funk and blues workshop and i'd explain and show abit more

come to my crib and see how near everything are to the player....

i'd like my set up as close to me as possible so that i would only stretch out 1/4 of my arms length to hit a crash...

i know nuts bout clave and all that kinda shit man... i just saw many people doing 2:3 and 3:2 clave notes on a clave pedal and doing a solo, play a groove to it... now that's damn hard... but i wanna learn it lah....

if u go the semi's of the drumfest comp.. a handful of them played with the clave pedal and do a solo.. Thats really hard shit so most of their timing is off for the clave... so thats why must practise like everyday...

if u have modern drummer 2005 saturday, under 18 division winner, eloy casagrande... 14 years old.. watch how he does a 2:3 clave patten on his left leg and doing a solo at the same time, timing was on the money and he was clean as a whistle... now that's passion.. haha

whoa fusion of tama and yamaha. tama-ha! okay damn lame, but whoa once you get all your gear your set's gonna be real awesome. oh your 8x8 rack, you bought it brand new or got it off someone second-hand?

wa marc serious ar. you kit so cramp! nice. yea about the 2 3 clave. i want to learn tt too. also learn the 3 2 clave

if u know th 2:3 son clave u will know the 3:2. it not tht hard really. the hard part is understanding the latin genre.

ur right leg play the clave, ur left leg step on 2n4
play single 8th notes on the snare.
this will build ur independence.

look guys the left leg clave is cool, but u got to learn the basics first. not much use if ur leg foot clave rocks but u can't play anything on top of it or u can't play anything else. know wat i mean

my latin can only cheat idiots and blonds.
but........i will begoing through funk latin, blues rhumba.
and will give u guys some stuff abt new orleans funk and blues. which is pretty much a really early form of fusion. alot of new orleans grooves are based ard the bion or son clave. it's the unlaying pulse. this is fused with the concept of swing which is an african concept/ or jazz which it evovled into.
