O Levels Students 2009!!

OMG -_- venice never come out for essay...had to do globalisation(studied global, venice and D&D).
comb. sci chem was amazingly easy though!
what you guys studying for history?
any professional spotters?(know what came out last few years/last year and spot from there)
me = stalin + war in AP.don't come out i prepared to jump:cool:

just study russia germany and japan. one sure come out.
Yea combined science so easy. finish in 30 min. haha.
social studies was okaye.

lol,i think i add in hitler to my database.man humanities so exciting, yesterday was gambling on the odds of venice, today gambling on stalin/hitler/ap.
then when they paper come,is like the 4-d results out like that.
PS:Last year came out - Hitler (SBQ),Appeasement(ESSAY),Treaty of Versailles(ya,like WTF?),then Cold War.

lol, tele you combined or pure?combined was easy leh!
btw,i think i change my mind lol.studying 4/7 is the way to go.both war in europes + both cold wars for me :D
don't come out any of those lol...i think i dun even want to buy my gear anymore.

ss was good.

pure chem was easier than expected, made one stupid mistake (one mark la) but other than that its fine.

mcuosver: pure lol.

to pure chem people: wad you guys put for "why is ethanol considered carbon-neutral and etc.." ?

my answer was that the carbon dioxide and water formed carbonic acid.. zz.

Because of carbon cycle. Plants photosynthesize. Or you can say that the formation of alcohol also uses carbon dioxide so some how it balances. MAn the paper was asstricky. not THAT easy la. Definitely above tys standard by a bit. MAn i wasted 79% brain power and space memorizing venice nv come out. lucky bonding sg and globalization came out. SBQ just gg. Flag on tank is kuwait flag by the way.

OH. so that's the answer..... zzz. i thought the answer would be some chim chim answers. LoL.

yea shit man i panicked when i saw that. i was like wtf. PLus how hydrogen make elctricity? Electrlysis in car? wtf. my friend say electric cell in car produce electrons blah blah want to whack his face but i think its right lol.:-D

it's the hydrogen fuel cell. lol. i tink its in energy changes. yah i said that the electrons from cathode went to anode.. (i forgot the word i used LOL) and the chemical energy converted to electrical.

actually, its how you phrase the asnwer that matters more.

I wrote sth like..

The volume of carbon dioxide liberated by the combustion of the ethanol is equal to that taken in by the plant for photosynthesis to produce the sugar solution used in fermentation to obtain the ethanol.

i forgot to write sodium hydroxide for the last qn.. (B9 OR)

I only wrote Chlorine and Hydrogen.. dang.

and then the why diesel allows the car to move further i wrote that its because the combustion of diesel is more exo than petrol. should have written that cause of the higher number of carbon bonds, the enthalpy change is bigger. more energy released. dang!

teleplayer, the terms anode and cathode cannot be used for cell. can only be used for electrolysis.

Im not sure if im right, but i wrote that the hydrogen will lose e- to the oxygen to form H+ ions and the oxygen will gain the electrons and form OH - ions, the two ions will combine to form water after the reaction. Electricity is generated by the electron flow from hydrogen to oxygen.

for the diesel qn, i wrote that it is because diesel has a higher boiling point and therefore, it has more carbon atoms (-__-) and from the table, more carbon atoms, would produce more energy.

JMS: Lol, are we talking about the same thing..? LOL. because the textbook also uses anode and cathode for the hydrogen fuel cell. pg 313 btw. lol.

I didn't study from textbook, but i know that the terms anode and cathode are usually not used for cell, only electrolysis. because if you study carefully, you'll realise that the concepts for electrolysis are opposite that of cells. But to each his own. (:

hmm yah.. thats why i said that the electrons "moved" from the cathode to anode for the fuel cell. lol. but yeah..

I forgot NaOH too. but for the Co2 question I changed the equation to exclude carbon dioxide lol. Feeling terrible now. Still have to study for history.
