Unboxing!

Decided to use cable ties. My most expensive (pedal) acquisition yet.

And finally with the board.

All that's left is a swap from my Ibanez FL-301dx to a Boss PS-3 (need to find one at a good price), Morley PS-II to a Morley Mini Wah/Volume, and MIGHT want to get an RV-5.

I was undecided between the T-Rex and a Whiteface Rat, but ended up wanting the dual-channel functionality of the Mudhoney II.

Hope you guys don't fall into GAS pits like me!

Oh my my my so nice and shiny O_O

How's it treating u man? Gotta love dual channel dirt boxes. They're just so much more in ONE box. Literally!

I'm liking it! The ordinary tones add just a touch of overdrive that's in between a clean boost and my SD-1. Nice for adding color to my delay lines without meshing everything up.

The boosted tones is like a goosed up Rat with less compression and a less flabby bass. Nice!

How is it compared to the skrewball btw? I was considering one a long time back but decided to just stick with the skrewball.

Unfortunately, we have losers in real life who enjoys trolling in forums. That's the only space where they can flaunt their machismo as they are safe physically.
Don't you agree Van Halen(Santana)?

Congrats on New gear BTW.

Repeater was a recent acquisition. It's brought a whole new dimension to my sound. Adds so much detail to make it 3D sounding and plus now I can never stop running in STEREO. It's a beut!

wck the Mudhoney and Skrewball and Rat sounds identical through a dirty tube amp. But since being in Singapore we are more into solid state amps by default (or at least we don't crank our tubes), the subtleties are there.
Skrewball: Dynamic, less bass, but more fine-tuning of frequencies to cater to the amp and guitar.
Mudhoney: Less dynamic, but still articulate. In boost mode there is that individuality and note separation to the strings. Low gain tones are sweet and dynamic, but has a questionable EQ. Luckily I got this base covered.
Rat: More compressed, in your face. Flabby bass, and the most bass-heavy of the lot. Dull in front of solid state, but springs to life with a good tube amp to the point that it slays most boutique distortions. Interacts with your tube distortion in a heavenly manner. But Rats aren't dynamic AT ALL.

Bear in mind though these differences won't be heard through a cranked tube amp. They are different circuits nevertheless, yet they overlap in sound a lot.

Thanks for the comparison man. I like the eq and dynamics of the skrewball, guess I'll not gas for the mudhoney for now haha. I stack my bd-2 thru the skrewball, it isnt a tube amp but the effects should be similar.

If you like playing with your volume knob, the Screwdriver is the best pedal within the category.
If you like it simple and heavy, the Rat is the best.

The Mudhoney is in between the 2 actually. Maybe one day we should hang out and test each other's dirt pedals man!

Yeah, thats why the bd-2 and screwdriver combo is great. They clean up really well. Haha sure, anytime man..
