For all the kaypohs that were wondering, this is the pedal that I got tyzjames to build, a mini expression controller for my M9.
As you may know, the Line 6 M9 allows you to use up to 2 expression pedals to control any parameter/knob on any of the effects. One of my favourite tricks is to use the expression pedal to turn one preset into two. For example, using the Tube Drive model, I set the gain low and volume high for a clean boost, and then assign the exp pedal to increase gain while lowering volume, to get an overdrive sound while maintaining the overall level.
While this is useful, I'm too lazy to carry an expression pedal, much less two of them. So based on the ideas in this Line 6 forum thread, I decided to improve on the design.
The controller contains 2 independent "expression pedals", with 2 outputs so you can assign them separately on the M9. The left side is the basic design, only switching between "heel" and "toe" positions. Good for creating pairs of presets as I mentioned above. The right side has a pot instead of the fixed 10k ohm resistor. The benefit of this is you can assign multiple parameters on the M9 to the single knob on the controller, so you can achieve your crazy yet controlled oscillating delays by moving your foot and looking cool, instead of bending down and looking like a mad scientist tweaking 5 knobs with your hands.
Best of all, it's in a tiny EP Booster-sized enclosure and will easily fit at the front of your pedalboard.
All in all I'm very happy with it and highly recommend all M9/M13 users to consider adding one to your setup. Huge thanks to tyzjames / Morningstar Custom Pedals.
