1) marina barrage ( its opened )
2) Bugis there, the building beside the National Library, the below got sell art stuffs. *forgot the street name*
3) Raffles Hotel .
4) Any hotel surrounding the fireworks display.
5) Singapore Flyers! People cancel their bookings so now you can book! :)
6) Stay with the crowds, get the best seat , come earlier.

And many2 more ah.. But come earliest is the best ah.... Im sure the float thing the seats are comfy enough, so get ur tix now at SISTICS!

HAHA..

For me, I just go to Boon Lay's Countdown then off to town. Marina barrage I guess.. :)
Fireworks is high. If you know what i mean.

I was told it can be seen at the west most side of east coast. Not sure how accurate that is, but I think i'll head down to Bedok Jetty. Logically SHOULD be able to see it, albiet a bit small.

Sentosa skyride :)
Sentosa Merlion?
In fact , any buildings 15 storeys or higher, you could see it.
Singapore is SMALL :)

Its just big or small the fireworks.

2) Bras Basah complex?
5) Isn't the operation of the place closed for a week or something?

to TS: like many said, just come early and find the best spot. but, the grass is always greener on the other side. so your best spot may not be the best spot if you know what i mean.

the earliest you'll have to be there at Esplanade is 5PM, no kidding. That'll give u the front most seats. By 10 it'll be so packed u can't even move and ppl will start "molesting" you (cause that's how it felt like last year) and at midnight... you're better off having a helicopter

Oh yah, the flyers is closed. hehe. Forgotten.

Yah Bras Basah Complex! Good place, take lift to the highest floor! You might be able to see Esplanade from there.

yoruka19: bugis mrt. just walk down towards national library. but city hall also can, depending where you come from ah..

Instead of fireworks every year, let me suggest another alternative which not many know of.

At 12am every New Year's Day, ships in the South China Sea along East Coast Park will fire off their red flares and sound their fog horns. The whole sky above the sea will be filled with red flares (for those of you who don't know, think of red colour stars).

No explosive sounds, no sweaty crowd, no rowdy noised, just me and my girlfriend sitting by the breakwater =)

bouncy: now that you have told us that.. i won't be just you and your girlfriend anymore.. hahaha..
