This guitar is probably really meant for the metal heads out there...

SEYMOUR DUNCAN BLACKOUTS 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can but you gotta have the stuff that can handle the extreme output of the Blackout pickups. :(

That's the main problem... those things are hotter than EMGs. Can you imagine trying to do a nice clean, chorus-ed sound, only have some 80s dirty chorus come out?

duh....turn off your distotion and it can even play polka

Btw ESP owns Schecter ;)

80s dirty chorus suck donkell balllzzzz, as with some of the cheeze from that era!

8 strings, i like to think it will be nice to play that thing like a mini piano instead.

hahaha, 8 string SLAP polka is nice... and do-able.

but man, even the EMG-808s are way too hot. I just want my passives to come in asap...

Anyway, the metal community is rejoicing over the blackout-8s right now...

There's an ESP LTD 8 string.... same price as the Schecter C-8s there. Seems not bad actually, 25.5" scale so its actually more familiar/comfy than the rest of the 8s.

Otherwise, the ESP 8 strings are way overpriced.

USD899 vs USD3679

If I had 3.5k USD ... I'd get this:

Anyways...its a nice piece ...i dont mind trying one out!

I dont mind havin a look at the ESP steph-b8 if Davis brings it in as well...

Same here... but I think Ed asked Davis about it - they aren't keen since there's virtually no demand for one.

The ESP Stef 8 string signature is certainly VERY cool. VERY VERY cool. Just... that they cost 5k. :(

Still! I mean... I'm sure the quality is tremendous and if the thing appeals, it appeals... but man... 5k for a production guitar? Hmmm, I wonder if its a custom ESP order, how much more would that cost?

by the way, here's a cheap neck-thru-body, that's MIC and a you-pay-for-what-you-get...

wah nice one ...is that maple neck ??

Yeah, its a 5 piece maple/walnut neck-thru body design with headstock matching body.
Mahogany body with a 28.625" scale neck.

It costs some 675USD. Shockingly cheap and apparently very playable..

Hey, a COOL ESP here:

Goose, I'm sure you've read this this rite?

ShredCow, how's your C-8 so far? Are you thinking of replacing it with some other better 8-stringer?

Actually, ESP SHOULD own a regular Schecter - unless we are talking Schecter Custom Shop lah. Then sure, there is an apples to apples comparison.

My C-8? It's doing well... I've been inspired by it and right now, I am waiting for my passive 8 string pups to drop in. I'm sick of batteries... and the irritating change in sound/feel when the battery starts to die.

I'm considering Oni Guitars to do a 30 fret 8 stringer. Or something.

Holy S*** I need those pup's
