i was wondering wether i shud get a fender or an epiphone my budgets like 1k or more if possible.. i play stuff like rock old skool punk and stuff

if you play punk fender is the way to go. fat strats(humbuckers strats) will do well. they are light and easy to jump around with compared to les pauls.. the other choice would be an SG..

Why don't you try out a Fat strat? The SSH configuration would cover the styles you're looking to play. But really just choose what looks, feels and plays good in your hands.

U can stick with the pure single coil Fenders. But if you're into CHUGGA CHUGGA JUNG JUNG JUNG... kind of playing, get the fat strat. The humbucker bridge one.

Well the worst thing that can happen is it gets real spicy and u start jumping around as if u just ate jumping beans with tabasco sauce. Well no. lol. MIM's arne't bad fender models man. They're the next best thing to a MIJ one.

Please do not have the idea that strats made in mexico are inferior. They might be in terms of say, amount of effort put into putting them together. Tone wise they're just as good. A good set of pickups down the road will make it a keeper. I've got a mim myself, pretty reliable with good tone.
