New FR users, Setup help available.

I have seen at least 3 users, and 1 new thread on ppl with problems with floyd roses, esp AFTER restringing and what not. So yeah, I decided to ressurect the offer, change the title so its more obvious.

Really, save yourself the trial and error plus the risk of damaging something.

I have a problem!! Got my bar yesterday and when i try to use the tremolo, there's this clanging sound of the springs behind ... I think this is because my springs touch the body of the guitar ... So when i use the trem, it rubs against the body giving that awful loud sound ...

can i ask something? izzit time to change my trem saddles? used for quite long, and there is a quite noticable buzz on one of my saddles now. I check everything already, string placed properly all that.

Eh, detroit, clanging sound is... what kind of sound? It might just the springs stretching. Its highly unlikely that the springs are rubbing on the body anyway.

Chronicles, you sure its the saddle? As in, when you touch the saddle, the rattling goes away?

yes im sure its saddle, not the string, i try everything, asking my brother to damp the every string with cotton when i try to ring the buzz doesnt go away until i press the saddles on 2nd last string. Its not the fine tuners as well

Then can you move that saddle by hand, when the string is slackened? It could be a loose intonation screw, in which case, the saddle should (should ah) be very near the bridge pup.

hey daniel, thinking of replacing my god-awful lo-trs trem on my rg. What do u suggest will be good and a direct retrofit? Gotoh? OFR?
