woah, they are still around ah

Anyway, those new tracks damned pumping! kinda brings back memories of listening to them back in the 90s. Good vibe dah!!!

Sounds good! Glad to hear them returning to their industrial roots. Where is this album available at? I know HMV brings Fear Factory CDs in but they're damn expensive, and Sembawang only brings in the very-very-well-known-minority of heavy metal.

Bought my copy yesterday at Inokii (Far East, Scotts Road, level 3).

Glad that Christian Olde Wolbers is out and Dino and Burton are back together again. I consider this the spiritual successor to Demanufacture. Dino has definitely grown as a guitarist and there are even (gasp) some leads on the album from him. His riffing is still super meaty and has some great new flourishes such as on Christploitation from him. Gene Hoglan is a machine on the drums. PLenty of soaring Gothic vocals from Bell.

Superb album for FF fans; wouldn't call it "Industrial" myself - FF's roots are DM, but whatever - it's a percussive, precision album with great production.

Cezares can play very well as evident in his Divine Heresy materials (solos aplenty) as well as Ibanez's promo videos (particularly for the RG2228).

Cazares is a very tight player, and one of my favourite metal guitarists, but I don't see the point of the 8-string haha. Fear Factory was already super heavy with the 7-string.

I also like Christian Olde Wolbers but for me, Christian has less originality... he was influenced by Cazares' playing, at least from what I hear. Or maybe he adopted Cazares' style so that Fear Factory would sound the same despite Cazares not being there.

One of my favourite metal songs of all time would be 'Shock', one of FF's older albums. Can really hear the tightness of Cazares and Herrera in the rhythm section. Personally I still wish Herrera would come back but... ah well.

we don't see the need for certain things because we are us, not them. to them, it becomes a need given the circumstances.
