Need some advise on what guitar to get.

ok, will do. can anyone explain the use of a fixed Edge III bridge besides the comfort part seeing as it cannot be used as a tremolo.

so basically if i just get a locking but fixed onto the top of the neck the RGR321EX will be the same thing? Not really an issue as fixed bridges are really easy to tune....hohoho, coming down to singapore on monday....what shops should i check out besides Davis,Ebenex,Guitar 77 and Swee Lee?

Ibanez MTM2? Mick Thomson's 2nd signature guitar?

Hmmm I kinda liked it too but I've never seen it anywhere in Singapore :( but he's a kinda extreme player so maybe he needs a fixed bridge.

If I could, I'd get my GSA60's floatable bridge changed to a fixed bridge. But is it possible?

eugene, i think they can put a block in the tremolo to make it fixed bridge.not too sure .....kinda defeats the purpose of having a tremolo though.....sell it and get a fixed bridged guitar :D

he started out with an RG560 which was used in Slipknot's debut release- this guitar has a floating Edge bridge. many players who like the feel of the locking bridges but don't whammy, simply leave these alone. ibanez's fixed Edge models are good to replicate the feel of the aforementioned bridges but the locking feature is a hassle compared to the simple fixed units.

the MTM2 is available here, otherwise i won't be able to review it 8) : http://soft.com.sg/web/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=25988

hey i was right! lol. rgr321! very cool looking too...

but one thing's for sure, if you're going for the paul alleander model, make sure its not for the finish.. prs makes lotsa good guitars.. u may wanna try out others too..

im juz very very sore that the paul allender se is a flat top...

i mean..even if it was slightly arched, it wud have been a consolation.. :x

but im still getting it la. :D

majority of the SE models flat tops, the essence of an arch on selected models are confound to the edges, similar to how the Gibson SG is.

definitely not for the finish man, ahaha.looks a bit too ott for me and im not a fan of bat inlays -.-. but it sounded pretty damn good, and if it feels good i'll get it....
