Need some advise on what guitar to get.

Haha no I think that's her mom. Not sure. You'll know Janet when you see her, she's very polite and soft spoken. Very pretty too.

Don't be put off by the attitude at Davis. They treat you alot better when you're sort of a regular customer. My first impression of them was extremely poor when I was shopping for my first acoustic.

Heh well plonk down cash and they'll literally worship u. I once went with my friend who wanted to buy an ESP Eclipse and a PRS Santana. They gave us 1st-rate treatment, i was able to try out almost everything in the shop w/o any1 making noise. When i went on my own last time, they only let me try out abt 2-3 guitars, that was it.

Haha I don't like Dean Markleys either

But I remember I always had good treatment from Davis, but probably because I'm a regular customer...

Swee Lee depends... at one point, there were two ladies there who were very friendly and helpful. But other times the staff just ignored me as I didn't ask any questions.

Ranking Sports and Music the staff are two women who are very friendly so yeah I kinda like that place too.

Personally I've got quite bad exp dealing with Davis. Last time I went there with my friend who wanted to to get a PRS, we were trying the various models around, and after the 3rd piece that we tried, the person lashed out at us saying, "You try so many piece you want to buy anot?"

My friend and I left the shop immediately.

symym - it's best to look rich when you go to Davis. Either bring along someone with a big platinum credit card, or doll yourselves up with all the branded apparel. Then they will take you more seriously. For students, it's an extremely bad idea to wear school uniform cause it will make you look like some slacker who dowan to go home to mug after school.

All that changes once you become a regular customer though.

lol bo bian. They have some expensive stuff there. In a way it's good cause it prevents people from playing stuff they don't intend to buy. Imagine you want buy that 11k PRS Modern Eagle SC there then before that so many hooligans wank on it liao with their greasy hands cause the staff dont care. Not good feeling lor.. and that's the case with Guitar Centre in the States. You see guitars with the knobs or toggle switch tip koped off, ding here ding there but still being labelled as new. In a sense it's still new cause it's first hand but shop worn cause it's played by too many people. I wouldn't want that to happen man.

haha, ok back in malaysia, just arrived.anyway met janet, very nice and polite not to mention pretty. then met up with mr. subversion who is an extremely nice and cool dude. he took me to a cd shop before the guitar arrived.when the guitar arrived, tried it out of course.sounded really good, and it didn't look too bad after all . plays like a gem and the setup was very good, although the action was sliiightly too low which caused a liiiitle buzz.very minor problem.besides that, it is very well made and thats that.Mr. sub also took the guitar through its paces and i foresee a review somewhere
down the road, haha.now that i've checked the gold tuning pegs have already started to tarnish and wear off but i guess thats bound to happen anyway.check it out in the picture. All in all despite the minor gripes about the service from the staff , the trip down was definitely worth it and a success.

Thanks alot guys for your help and advice and a very big thanks to mr. subversion for meeting up with me and giving me loads of help and advice, not forgetting the gift.

P.S. don't take the first coach bus back from singapore, full of f*cking cockroaches......damn....
