WE NEED MORE REVIEWS!!!!

the best is to have local opinion about gear that we can relate to instead of reading online reviews from other countries..

Anyone agrees?? 8)

SOFT has a review archive here, i've just linked you to it in your other thread.

pertaining to your statement above- yes, we need more domestic opinion, the reason why i believe in having reviews here, oblivious to the fact that there are countless others out there.

The reviews here are done by 1 person each. I much prefer if we do it harmony central style where more people can add to a review. Will probably give a less biased view.

What I see is that most of the reviews are on the more 'alternative' gear that most of us would have absolutely no idea on; which is a good thing -- since people don't need reviews for Fender Stratocasters or Gibson Les Pauls, but how about some reviews of the popular choices to serve as benchmarks?

Especially for amplifiers and pedals, like the DS-1; there's no need to puzzle over the big names who use it, but the amount of people who complain about it's limited scope and the amount of people who mod it make it seem a questionable choice, especially with other, arguably, higher quality distortion pedals on the market!

sorry dude. didnt mean to misread it. hope no offence is taken. well taking to this topic. i guess subby is our gear guru and he already puts the reviews in as much an unbiased view as possible by comparing standards not of his own but rather other gear. and i dun hope this forum turns into a review section cos we have that in harmony-central. u just have to sieve out all the unrelated and biased comments. cos there will always be some bias but then u can see the reactions and reviews of the majority.

and plus the fact subby is gd with most of the dealers so he can test it for us and give us a leg up on stuff we wouldnt know unless we r gear whores (no offence subby). if everyone were to to test it and put reviews it kinda makes subbys effort redundant cos he might as well save his time and everyone just go try on their own.

it seems that way.

i'm not employed to do reviews here anyway so i urge others to submit theirs to the database. also, on the ones already up, you can add on to it.

i search on soft, harmony and various other forums, but the main problem i face is that most of the forum wouldnt let me search "cx2" cause its too short :( harmony central doesnt have them. I also did a yahoo search on "hamer cx2" and "hamer cx2 reviews" and dun really have reviews on them. The only few i saw on soft was a sentence like cx2 is one of the best maple fretboard guitar below 400 dollars by subversion i think, and one more a decent mid entry guitar.

ok just a little question, instead on relying on someone else's review, why not go down to the shop and try something out for yourself?
