im a guitarist but wanna work on my vocals too.

i have a very low baritone like voice, and its sometimes very hard for me to sing in some keys. If im trying to sing in E, i often have to sing in an E flat because halfway my vocals can't take the strain. the best i can do is only sing in a low E thats it, making my singing dull and boring, something you would hear from those nerdy losers in american idol.

and my friends can clip their capos to their guitars and sing in the transposed key but i can't.

need help thanks and cheers ;)

practise singing along with ur cds, mp3s etc ..its the only way to learn

I recommend taking lessons.. E is a typical breaking point for males. With lessons from a competent teacher you will learn how to sing above the breaking point. You'll also learn how to sing in an "interesting" voice, not an "american idol failure" voice :)

I would recommend taking at least one Speech Level Singing lesson .. they are expensive, but the things I learnt from just one lesson were worth the money.
