Need help with PayPal

I tried searching hardwarezone and other forums, and also Paypal's forums but can't seem to find the answer.

Anyway, my question is this:

Is it possible to transfer funds from a bank account to a paypal account? I know that the recommended method is just to link the account to a credit/debit card, but I don't have either of these.

Read on the website that can link to bank account also but it's dangerous right? Also said that can transfer funds from bank to paypal, but how do I go about doing that?

I'm using POSB btw.

Thanks in advance!

Paypal

Hey bro,

I have been using Paypal for Ebay purchases or quite some time. I did not link any debit/credit cards to my account though. What i know is that we are not able to transfer money from banks to our Paypal funds. But instead, we are able to transfer Paypal funds to our bank. It is a one way road.

Linking your debit/credit card to your Paypal account will give you benefits though. The last time i remember talking to the operator, she said we are able to lift the $1K limit of purchase if we verify the account(simply linking your cards).

Lastly, if you do not have any Paypal funds.. you can always buy them. There are users selling these US/UK etc funds. It's almost the same price as the exchange rate now.

Please correct me if i am wrong. Hope this helps. :)

My Paypal is linked to my bank account and so far it's been really safe after at least 50 transactions of crediting and debiting from my account. Of course, i don't take things for granted and i often check my bank statements for the transactions that i make.

Paypal is probably one of the safest sites, if not the safest way to transfer cash to other countries. Alternatively, you can get pay one of your friends to help you get something off the net.

I'm not too sure about transferring cash from your bank account to your Paypal account tho. Maybe you can call POSB and check with them? They should be familiar with the procedures.

I transferred money from my UOB to my Paypal account to pay for my US eBay purchase by following the instructions that were provided by Paypal on their site. The instructions are all there.

dude read up on this..

this is why i dare not use paypal.

When you use Paypal, you need to be aware of what you're in for. Millions of people use Paypal for transactions and it has made all my Ebay purchases easy and care-free. It's the INTERNATIONAL standard by which many international sellers operate.

You can choose not to use Paypal, but it looks like you certainly be limiting your options esp from overseas.

So far I have no problem using PayPal too. I've linked my debit card to PayPal, so purchasing online is really an ease. I know that theres a way that you can transfer fund to the PayPal account, you have to read up the FAQ on the site as I am not so sure. I've done it one time before but I've forget how I do it.

Everything has risk, PayPal has quite high reputation and always protect the users. You just have to be careful of your passwords, card number those things...

the anti paypal shit is retarded. even if your paypal account kena screwed for whatever reason, even if paypal does not protect you in the event of fraud, if it's linked to your credit card, your bank still protects you from fraudulent use of your card.

anyway, literally millions use paypal without incident, and those who have problems usually get into them out of their own stupidity or carelessness. even if paypal itself has risks, there are alot of things YOU can do to reduce the risk. and i'm sure banks would want to collaborate with paypal if its is an unmanageable security threat.

finally, paypalsucks.com is OWNED BY A SERVICE WHICH IS THE COMPETITOR OF PAYPAL. THERE GOES THE CREDIBILITY OUT OF THE WINDOW LOL
