Need Help to organise gig

Guys..i wonder how much it would cost to rent a gig venue like guinness substation...you all could help me out with the location prices? And other costs such as equips rental and sound engineers.Thanks.

for sound system and music instrument rental, it ranges from $500 to $1500. depends on what you want.

I heard it starts at ard SGD500-600 for 4 hours... can't be sure...

The DYL guys would know. Ask them... or just call them up. I have the rental charges somewhere... but I'm lazy to dig them out. Sorry.

The previous year, there are a lot of community centre gigs, recently don't hear much. Dunno if there is a policy change, as some of the gigs are 'rowdy and noisy' type. I remember on average about $300 without air-con, but place (multi purpose hall)is very big.

Always as a organiser, have many manpower. To help keep crowd in check, move things and very important clean up after the gig. So the venue supplier continue renting out for such functions.

Just a rotten apple will spoil the scene for the rest of the community. Don't do things just to satisfy your own ego, you won't go far. This is one of the main reason which local music is being hampered, air headed organisers.
