What guitar basses does not have neck dive prob prefer you tell me those that are either squire or epi.

I don't want to waste my savings buying something that does not feel good.

BTW this should be my 1st bass i am buying...

so far, the only bass i've played that neck dives is an Epiphone Thunderbird. the Gibsons have no issue with that.

i've also heard that some P-basses neck dive, but that's limited to a small number.

Dive

Fenders are definitely safe. I am a Fender fanatic. Not certain about squires though.

I tried a semi-acoustic Epiphone Jack Casidy model and it neck dived on me.

My advice on a first bass is a MIJ Fender Jazz. Will last you through to advanced stage of bass playing. Versatile growly mid-tone and awesome neck profile. I can never do without the tone of a jazz bridge pickup. Precisions might be a challenge with the fat necks especially for beginners, unless you crave the classic Precision boom.

huh, i thought you were asking which basses have neck dive. looks like i misread.

anyway i agree with dumbcube, you can't go wrong with a Jazz bass, whether it's Squire or Fender, MIM, MIJ or MIA.

Agree

anything in particular that you are interested in? there are many other things to look out for in a bass besides neck dive..

Agreed. I.E tone, looks, weight, onboard controls, PU styles, neck profiles, etc etc.

Are you a beginner or have been playing for some time?

t-birds and viola basses got neck dive. most others don't. fender's don't have neck dive, especially newer ones with c-shaped necks.
