hello fellow guitarists..
pls help me.......

i recently went 2 change my strings on my guitar. instead of restringing them 1 by 1, took them all out so i can clean my fretboard. wen i wanted 2 fix on new strings, the FR is laid back instead of its original floating point. even when the strings are tuned up, the FR will still pull back the strings instead of returning to its floating point. wats the problem?? oh yea..im a noob wif FRs and its my first FR guitar. B4 1 4gt , its a licensed FR. thx 4 ur help guys!! :D

there is a need, in your case, to adjust the trem springs in the rear cavity to ensure the neutral floating position is effective.

if you are a choa chu kang resident, i can give free tuition- no charges 8)

put something solid (but not hard enough to scratch/ding your guitar)behind the FR. Something like a stopper. Put it there to balance the bridge, then insert and tighten the strings. Once tuned, release the stopper slowly ( push down the tremolo bar if necessary).

If it still pulls back, loosen the springs at the back
