yes precisely i'm quite upset by it. haha. seems like standards have dropped.

Just a qn: Have you dropped your guitar while playing or bang against something hard?

no i didn't. maybe a few soft knocks to the headstock.

sometimes the wiring on the 3 way selector is affected by the back cover...more oftern than not its the damm 3 way switch itself...get a new one (original from Davis) and get Beez g77 2 ewire 4 u..worthwhile investment... DONT GET THE CHEAPO PARTS...buy original

thanks.. yeap that's what i'll do.

wow.. ok.. i think epiphones last longer than that.. i bought mine second hand and they were still working fine every after about 4 years of use...
only changed the whole electronics setup recently, as in the vol and tone pots and pickup selector.. my epiphone has lasted 4 years, and ur GIBSON lasted only 4 months... shows the quality doesnt it

Hey dude, you're whiny, people only want solutions to their problems, not your whining, it's almost like you're telling him buying a gibson sg is a mistake and a big crime in the first place. Chill out.

hahaha nah it's alright. i went to guitar 77 and apparently nothing's wrong cause the neck pickup was working fine there. they're gonna check it throughly and i'll get my guitar back tomorrow.

so everything working fine now?

that's so voodoo man... hope that restores some faith in Gibson - the brand that so many love and equally many love to hate nowadays

according to g77, my guitar is PERFECTLY fine. but that's weird cause the neck pickup failed me even when i was using a different cable and amp. well, i bought a perfect link cable from luther and so far everything's fine. if it screws up again haha then it's really weird.

and thanks to the people at g77 who didnt charge me (:

okok.. sorry if i was whiny.. hmm.. kinda like murphys law in action eh.. when u bring it to repair, the problem doesn't show up...
