i saw this two tattoed 'rockers' i think either malay or eurasian guys prolly in the same band. both of them quite tall. then the guitarist tested an ibanez and played master of puppets and one of the guys was wearing a nightwish shirt. i think they were in their 30s or 40s. so i laughed at them and ran.

Thanks for your time.

I was in Swee Lee yesterday, minding my own business with my 40 year old Eurasian friend (we're in the same band). We thought we'd look around to see if we could find some cheap goodies to donate to starving and needy children in an orphanage for Malay children (I'm a 34 year old Malay man) to brighten up their Christmas and bring some joy and music into their otherwise melancholy lives.

Well, we're walking around in our short sleeved shirts, so our tattoos were showing, and we saw these $99 Squier Bullet guitars - perfect as gifts for desperate kids without parents! Well, I picked one up, and bashed out a quick blast of the main riff from "Master of Puppets" to try it out, when this brash little PUNK kid (he can't have been more than 17 judging by the acne) ran up to us, pointed, laughed and then ran away again.

It was most bizarre behaviour, but it destroyed our Christmas spirit I can tell you. We decided not to help the kids by buying the guitars after that - they'd probably grow up to be just as obnoxious.

;)

What a small world, the laugher and the "laughees" are all regulars of this forum. And that kid hasn't explained the reasons for pointing, laughing, running away, and the purpose of posting this little story here.

Hey Alex, what are u waiting for? :)

My friend got a 99 bucks Squire bullet on the second day of the sale(at around 1:15).
It was the 2nd last piece.

Went to the sale today, only the guitars were worth taking a look at: Fender Highway 1's at 940+, LP studio 1k plus, LP deluxe 2.9k like that and the highlight i think was the ibanez's...many prestige range on huge discount..mostly 1.1 or 1.2k...a great looking PGM301 for 1.3k, few JEM/UV models..was very very tempted..but nevermind haha..DOD pedals at 50bucks each ha and cheap Tama drumsets and assorted low wattage amps...that's all...ha...

Merry Christmas to you too! And all at SOFT, esp. SOFT himself for running this great forum.

Anyone heard Steve Lukather's Christmas album he released last year of psychedelic covers of Xmas classics? I haven't myself and would like to know if it's worth getting.
